(FSH & LH) Follicle Stimulating Hormone and Luteinizing Hormone

Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) and Luteinizing Hormone (LH) are hormones secreted by the pituitary as a part of the systemic signaling system that produces our gonadal hormones: estrogens and progesterone in women and androgens in men. A high FSH or LH is indicative of hypogonadism, since the system exists in negative feedback, i.e high gonadal hormones should result in low precursor pituitary hormones.
